Joining the group in 2007, I was lucky enough to play Jack in the first Players pantomime. I enjoyed it so much I have been a member ever since. Our small group has got better and better with amazing productions. On stage in comedy is my first love. I also enjoy being part of the process to bring a show to life.

As a founder member I have been actively involved in every production the Players have performed, mostly directing or producing. And I love it! I even met my wife at the Players!

I love the process from first read through to rehearsal, to standing behind the curtain waiting for the show to start on production night, to winding down at the after show party. I do my best to avoid the musical bits as I've been told that I can bring people to tears with my singing voice!

I have been a member of Shipham players for a number of the years I have made lasting friendships, challenged myself and had a lot of fun. I love being on stage but also enjoy the creative side such as making costumes and getting involved in script writing.

I joined Shipham Players in 2010 with some trepidation but was welcomed with open arms. I have made playing animals and set building my forte. I have enjoyed participating in many productions and the social aspect is an added bonus!

I joined Shipham Players after moving here in 2015; it’s a great way to meet people and I was warmly welcomed, even though I hadn’t been on stage since the 80s! I started in the panto chorus before I was given a part in The Party, a bit of a stretch but I was so well supported that I haven’t looked back since.

I joined in 2019 after auditioning for Outside Edge, so I am the new girl. I haven’t done much acting since school, so I still get rather nervous, but I love bringing performances together, it can often be quite hilarious! The group are very welcoming and have made me feel right at home, which helps the nerves….

I started talking photographs for Shipham Players in January 2018. This led to me designing, creating & developing a new website to promote the amazing performances of the group, followed a few years later by adding & managing on-line ticketing. Recently being persuaded to be a stage hand for a few shows!

Having been involved in theatre lighting and sound and with Shipham Players for many years, I love bringing a director’s vision to life through technical design.
At Shipham Players, we’ve developed state-of-the-art technology that allows us to be truly creative and craft stunning experiences for our audiences.
Just don’t expect to see me on stage.

``My journey started at Wokingham Theatre as a young adult. Over the years this continued at Backwell Drama Club and the Abbot’s Players (performing at the Minack Theatre). Upon moving I joined Shipham Players. Altogether well over 100 productions. During this time I have continued performing with the acoustic band Magenta.``
