‘VE Day 80th Anniversary Commemoration’ will be Shipham Players next production on 30th, & 31st May 2025.

The evenings will be full of nostalgia, some pathos and jollity, taking the audience on a journey from the start of WW2 to VE day. We are delighted that the Shipham Collective, Shipham’s very own orchestra, and the history society are able to join us and be involved in these great evenings.

The ‘Players Tavern’ will be open from 18:30 where you can grab a drink and view a special display of WW2 local history, then join the ‘Street Party’ at 19:30 in the main hall where you’ll also enjoy your ‘Rations’.

To get into the wartime spirit, the hall will be decorated, and tables will be laid out in street party style. We would love it if you came dressed in period costume and prizes will be presented for the best costumes. The evenings will also include a commemoration meal in keeping with the era! It will be a wonderful immersive experience!
